A few days ago, we got home from our short but exciting winter escape to the Caribbean where the weather was warm, breezes balmy, little in the way of what the folks in the Caribbean call “Liquid Sunshine” although I did get pretty wet at Nelsons Dockyard one afternoon. It was sunny most of the time, and the temperatures were in the 80-85 range during the day, and it might get to 75 at night.

We have cruised before in a number of venues, and with various cruise companies. I would like to tell my readers just why this cruise on Celebrity Eclipse was the very best we have ever done. And we have done some great ones before. This cruise departed Miami FL, and returned to port 14 wonderful days later.

I will provide details of the cruise itself as the days go by, but for now I would like to tell you how this one came about. I hate flying, No, I detest flying. At one time flying was exciting, one got a decent meal, one had room for their knees, one could expect a drink or wine with their dinner, there is more of course, but you get the idea. I mean like going back to when some blithering idiot tried to bring the plane down with him in it by setting fire to his shoes, his shorts or do some other idiotic thing. All of which has resulted in the TSA, people being x-rayed, bags x-rayed, and a whole lot more. So I choose as much as I can to sail from a port that is close. In this case Miami.

We always book with a travel agent, a young woman is currently our agent, and she can always work miracles to get you the best cabin for the money, along with all the air and ground transportation. Our agent who has prepared a few trips for us now, is Jackie Dutka, and she works at Expedia Cruise Ship Centers. Her store is located at 25-11440 Braeside Drive in Calgary. Canada. But Jackie works from home with her phone and a computer, and she loves the research. Her email is jackiedutka@cruiseshipcenters.com. If you want to cruise, you will be happy with Jackie!

Jackie got us our last cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity has a number of highly rated ships in the fleet, but to me, this one gave us the best cruise we have ever had. And we have sailed with some companies that are supposed to be the best or right up there, but this one was by far our best cruise from the perspective of the ship, and its crew. I’ll get into more detail at a later date, but for now, check out the details on what the ship has to offer. Celebrity Eclipse

Short and Profound

These three statements tell you a lot about our government and our culture:

1.  We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but We are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Funny how that works.

And another statement for consideration–
2.We constantly hear about how CPP (Canada Pension Plan) is going to run out Of money..  How come we never hear about welfare running out of money?
What’s interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second Didn’t.

3.Provincial Social Services (welfare payments) is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free money ever .  Meanwhile, the Parks Branch, Asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." The stated reason for this policy is Because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

That ends Today’s Lesson On Irony

Have a Great Day, and be nice to one another.
