There was an article in the Saturday Calgary Herald regarding a visit to Calgary by a Catholic Priest, Father Patrick Desbois. He is coming to Calgary to speak about the mass shootings of Jews during the Second World War.
Father Desbois has devoted his life to revealing to the world the mass killings of Jews in Eastern Europe during WW2.
It is estimated that over 1.5 million Jews were slaughtered by gunfire in Eastern Europe during the war, all done by Nazi mobile killing units. The entire Jewish population of villages were wiped out in hours.
Research has taken place in Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Russia. Over 1250 killing sites have been identified. Survivors are few, and with the passage of time it will not be long before there will no longer be any witnesses remaining to attest to these massacres.
Apparently the Holocaust by Bullets is fairly well recognised in Eastern Europe, but is largely unknown in the west. There are some web pages devoted to the tragedy, and there is one home page. Check it out: Yahad-in Unum
